The team working on our U-2 sustainment group is one of a kind. Designed by Kelly Johnson, The U-2 “Dragon Lady” has been in service since 1956 and is like no other platform in the world. YOUR IMPACT

While working on U-2, you will impact sustainment and periodic depot maintenance operations of the aircraft. The U-2 can cruise for many hours above 70,000 feet and is serviced, torn down and rebuilt for test and send back out to our customer. As a U-2 Flight Mechanic, you can be part of the team that keeps us flying high. Beyond that, you may also find yourself:

• Preparing aircraft for flight test by performing preflight, through flight, and post flight operational check outs.
• Working hands-on troubleshooting faults after test, performing cable rigging, servicing landing gear and flight controls.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications :
Must have a minimum of four years of experience in aircraft assembly and checkout, or as a Flight Line Mechanic, or be a graduate Flight Line Mechanic Apprentice, or possess a valid A & P License with two years of practical experience.

Must possess license or certificates as required.

Experience with reading Blueprints or completed Blueprint Training.

Knowledge of hydraulic, plumbing, surface control and rigging systems.

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

"The base range for this position in California is $27.51 - 44.85.
