Hardware Sales Associate

Hardware sales is predominantly customer focused; they have questions and we have answers. We stock over 30,000 items, the majority of which are in the Hardware department. While we do not expect associates to know the utility and function of each individual item, we do require an eventual general knowledge in every category, i.e. Plumbing, Electrical, Housewares, Paint, Fasteners ect. Furthermore, we encourage Associates to specialize in one or more categories depending on previous experience and ability. Our Associates wear many different hats in the Hardware department and we do our best to assign roles based on individual strengths and interests. Expected Duties:

• Customer Service
• Key Cutting
• Glass/Plexi Cutting
• Research and Special Order through our Online Catalog
• Creating Special Orders in our Point of Sale System
• Navigating our Inventory Maintenance system
• Uhaul Rentals
• Stocking

Potential Duties:

• Color Matching Paint
• Rescreen/Repair Screens, Windows, Doors
• Special Ordering / Building Orders with Alternate Vendors
• Lamp Repair
• Power Tool Repair
• Pipe Threading
• Electronic key/remote programming
• Repair/Refurbish/Fabricate Items per Customer Request
• Assembly of Display Merchandise, Grills, WheelBarrows
• Rekeying Locks
• Merchandising
• Receiving
• Operating Forklift

No previous experience is required and all training is "On the Job"

Minimum Requirements for Employment:

• Be able to lift 50 lbs
• Be able to use a computer
• Must be able to work at least one weekend day every week (Full Time only)
• Be Authorized to work in the United States

Compensation:

• We offer competitive wages starting at $15 hourly, or commensurate with experience.
• Wage increases are merit based
