As a High School Humanities Teacher with us, you will help to create a classroom that is a warm, well-structured, and organized learning environment where consistent routines and expectations are set for their students and for yourself. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our school Principal, Department Head, and subject teachers to continuously improve and iterate on relevant curriculum
  • Teach 4 sections of Humanities
  • Use assessment data, student work, and other information to inform plans for student and class objectives
  • Operate with the belief that all students can and want to learn.
  • Prioritize each student’s academic and social-emotional development.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in education strongly preferred
  • Experience working with students with disabilities and/or the Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) model preferred
  • Experience writing IEPs preferred
  • Experience with the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) and/or Diploma Program (DP) is a plus
  • NYS teaching certification preferred
  • An active community builder who believes in collaborating across teams and functions in order to achieve results
  • A deep belief in our mission & vision with a strong enthusiasm for integrating public education

Salary

  • Employees at Prospect Schools are provided with a competitive salary. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s skills, education, and years of experience relevant to the role. The salary range for this role is from $59,310-$94,870, based on experience.
