Compensation:


The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual(s) will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.


Expected Minimum Pay Rate: USD $19.86/Yr. Expected Maximum Pay Rate: USD $25.07/Yr. Responsibilities:


What You Will Do

As a Human Resources Support Specialist you will perform a variety of routine to moderately complex clerical duties in support of specific department programs and initiatives. Associates in this job classification perform data entry, filing and general clerical support functions and are responsive to a high volume of paper/electronic transaction processing and customer calls. This job classification requires knowledge of general office operations and customer service practices and the ability to contribute to the smooth operation of the office on a daily basis.


How You Will Make A Difference

  • You will act as an HR liaison to store management regarding the status of the pre-employment testing process and transactions in HRIS and applicant tracking system.
  • You will maintain documentation and files (paper and electronic) timely and accurately; performing audits of files; inserting and removing specified materials.
  • You will enter and maintain data in the HRIS system or other databases; create reports from databases.
  • You will perform research to answer routine to moderately complex inquiries; resolving routine discrepancies according to established procedures, questions and problems and refers more complex issues.
  • You will compile data from various sources, prepare and distributes routine reports, complying with any regulatory requirements and union contract rules as they relate to area of specialty.
  • You will function as the process owner for assigned processes, providing first-level assistance to store leaders and other HR Support Specialists to troubleshoot and monitor the process for timeliness and proper utilization.
  • You will process complex verifications including Equal Employment Department unemployment claims and subpoenas.
  • You will generate, copy and distribute a variety of documents.
  • You will answer telephones and refer callers to appropriate party.
  • You will perform a variety of office support functions which may include: typing correspondence and reports, sorting and distributing mail, greeting visitors, ordering office supplies, and fax retrieval and distribution.

Must Haves

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D plus one (1) to three (3) years experience or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
  • General knowledge of office procedures.
  • General knowledge of regulatory requirements in area of specialty.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, a personal computer and related software applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to type with sufficient speed and accuracy to perform job functions as required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key by touch.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations to include additions, multiplication, subtraction, division, percentages and decimals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Physical Demands
- Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
