YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10am-2pm

You will be working with a lovely older woman with a great sense of humor! You'll be preparing her breakfast and helping her with her daily sponge bath, as well as encouraging her to walk around the house. You will also be helping her with some light housekeeping, and reminding her to take her medication. You may also be asked to feed her cat and scoop the litter box. You will enjoy spending time with her and hearing her stories!

While no day is typical in what you do, what is guaranteed is the feeling you will have at the end of the day - that you truly made a difference in someone’s life.

WHAT MAKES AGE AT HOME SO SPECIAL???

.

*We don't just "throw you to the wolves!" You will have mentor support from day one. Your Mentor will make sure you are fully prepared and trained for each of your clients' specific needs, and that you're comfortable with your clients and what is expected of you. If you are having trouble with one of your clients and need guidance on how to handle it, your Mentor is always there to offer advice.

.

*You choose your own hours! Let us know your ideal schedule, and we will do our best to match you with clients in need of a Caregiver during those times.

.

*You choose your clients! Not feeling it? No problem! Everyone is different, and not every client will be a good fit. There are always other clients who you may enjoy working with more!

.

*We encourage you to take time off! In order to care for others, you need to first take care of yourself. We don’t want our Caregivers to get burned out!

.

*We genuinely care about and appreciate our employees! Check your mail - you may just have a personalized thank you note or birthday card from someone in the office. We also have employee appreciation events throughout the year.

.

*We offer 24/7 management support! What does that mean? If you need to reach us outside of normal business hours, office staff is available to help! And someone you know will be on the other end of the phone - not an answering service.

.

*Are you an LNA? We have an RN on staff who does regular supervisions to help with your continued certification!

Age at Home is locally owned by a caring professional, not an out-of-state conglomerate. The caring and supportive office staff responds quickly to client issues. They even have an after-hours assistance line. There are plenty of assignments due to the company’s excellent reputation, and they do their best to match me with clients in my travel area. They offer professional supportive paid training through easy-to-access online courses. Once you sign on with Age at Home you will never want to change agencies or "retire"... flexible hours, bright and fun workers, and clients who really need you!

I love working for Age at Home because they really do care, when I have concerns I know I can call and someone will answer almost immediately.
