Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking Sr. DevOps IAC Engineers in Aurora CO. Relocation assistance available provided final candidate meets eligibility requirements.

The Sr. DevOps IAC Engineer is accountable for a continuous, repeatable, secure and automated deploy, integration, and test solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps techniques in support of mission critical advanced ground system solutions. Infrastructure engineers work closely with cyber to ensure security controls are met and they also work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, and implementation teams to ensure performance and deployment compliance.

NOTE: This position is required to be on site, however some Hybrid support may be performed. The ideal candidate must be Local and able and willing to drive into the Raytheon location in Aurora CO to support design test and selloff. Additionally, support for the project may require travel (<10%) to support at the customer facilities in Boulder Colorado, Buckley AFB (Aurora CO), or Schriever AFB (CO Springs).

Responsibilities include:

Developing IaC, testing, and delivering within a DevSecOps framework

Developing and ensuring that infrastructure designs meet technical, cost and schedule requirements

Support to Architects in system or infrastructure designs as necessary

Support of software, hardware components and integration of these systems

Support of several complex on/off premises compute environments that form the backbone for the operational deployment

Communicate any risks or issues involving system performance, availability, or security

Perform documentation updates

Support and follow the program change management processes and procedures.

Clearance Requirement:

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Required Skills:

Experience with Linux System Administration

Administration of traditional VM and/or cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, VMWare)

Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible (preferred), SaltStack, Fabric or similar products for O/S builds

Experience in Containerization using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, OpenStack

Experience with design, installation and test of COTS Infrastructures

Working knowledge of networks and storage

Security + / CISSP or ability to obtain within 90 days of start

Understanding of Change Management processes including experience with code repository systems (e.g. ClearCase, Git/BitBucket)

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)

Understanding of CI/CD development/maintenance/troubleshooting with automation servers (Jenkins) in all phases of a DevOps pipeline

Experience with HashiCorp products such as Consul and Vault

Experience with at least one major programming language (Python, Java, Ruby, C++, C#, Go) and troubleshooting on a Linux system.

Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex tool and system operation performance issues with services and devices spanning multiple network boundaries

An active and in-scope DoD Secret U.S. security clearance

Required Education and Experience:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or Physics is preferred with 5 years of relevant work experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
