EAST HARTFORD OVERHAUL AND REPAIR (EHRO) is seeking an Instrumentation System Servicer for our Machine Tool Services Department. 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday 06:30am-3:00pm. Training will be all on same shift.

As an Instrumentation System Servicer you will perform the electronics work necessary to maintain, calibrate and repair electronic and electromechanical instrumentation and engine testing equipment following recognized methods in selecting and using available tools and equipment and in planning or altering the methods necessary to complete assigned work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under direction of supervisor, follow instructions, drawings, and safety protocols to determine material requirements, plan sequence of repair operations, obtain required support services and tools and equipment to carry out assignments. Check to assure equipment and supplies are available when required.
  • Work from drawings and schematic diagrams, read technical material of some complexity, and use mathematics through trigonometry. Use precision measuring instruments and equipment to check machines and equipment for accuracy.
  • Perform troubleshooting, equipment installations, maintenance, repair work and carry out preventive maintenance and service as required.
  • Provide assistance to others on projects that involve the care, use and maintenance of tools and equipment while maintaining safe working practices.
  • Perform similar duties throughout the facility within the scope and skill level of this job description. Assist other trades working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skills.
  • Refer difficulties to supervisor or project leader.
  • May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with repair and troubleshooting methods as applied to CNC or complex machinery.
  • Experience working from drawings and schematic diagrams, reading technical material of some complexity, and use of mathematics through trigonometry.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and equipment to check machines and equipment for accuracy and condition.
  • Requires 2+ years related electronics experience or a combination of Technical School and related work experience
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • US Citizenship due to government contracts
