JOB DESCRIPTION: Medical Technologist (MLT)

  • Full-time- 6AM to 2:30PM
    JOB SUMMARY :

    Performs medical laboratory testing on specimens obtained from patients to assist physicians and other medical personnel in diagnosis and treatment for patients.
    Shift: Nights 7 days on 7 days off rotation of 4 10’s and 3 12-hour shifts. Wednesday through Tuesday.
    Hours: 80 a pay period

    Department Specific Accountabilities:
    1. Must be comfortable with fast paced environment and be able to multitask.

    2. Attention to detail.
    3. Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through interactions with teams, staff, and management.

    4. Demonstrates care, compassion, and pride in performing tasks and producing quality results.

    5. Exercise independent judgement and can work under minimal supervision.

    Other Job Accountabilities:
    1 . Can efficiently perform Phlebotomy when needed

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education: bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or associate in medical laboratory Technician
    • Computer, phlebotomy, and clinical laboratory instrumentation experience
    • ASCP or AMT Certified
    • Blood Bank Experience
    • Experience in Hospital setting preferred.

    Skills:
    Licensure/Certification: ASCP OR AMT CERTIFIED
