Our Team

Our Field Service Technician team strives to serve our local produce customers in installation and repair and preventative maintenance of industrial corrugated equipment while providing additional support during the peak season, May - October. Our team works weekend (on-call) and holiday coverage as needed by our customers. Members of our team must be able to travel from location to location to perform routine and urgent maintenance approximately 90% of the time including into the Georgia and South Carolina regions as needed. While performing the duties of this job team members are regularly exposed to the risk of a produce packaging environment. Team members are provided extensive, hands-on training for this position. Our Field Service Technician team is provided a company Ford F150, cellphone, and laptop.


What You Will Do

  • Light fabrication, vacuum and pneumatic systems.

  • Evaluate electromechanical box machinery.

  • Routine maintenance, changeovers, and industrial machine installation.

  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and instruction manuals for industrial corrugated equipment to perform maintenance.

  • Accurately use measurement and test equipment and hand and power tools for electrical and mechanical maintenance.

  • Troubleshoot, adjust, calibrate, and repair industrial machine motors, cylinders, pumps, etc.

  • Perform emergency breakdown maintenance as necessary to support customer operations.

  • Interface with conveyor systems.

  • Ensure the safety of all personnel working or operating in the area of our industrial equipment including but not limited to providing routine maintenance, following hazardous materials safety procedure and proper lock out procedure.

  • Provide service to customers for a positive experience.

  • Avoid downtime, react with urgency, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to learn new computer programs (Microsoft Outlook, TEAMS, Word, Concur, Wheels, Kronos, etc).

  • Fill out and submit reports within deadlines regarding company vehicle, time documentation and expenses reports.

  • Provide details of customer visit as required for documentation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Responsible Driver - clean driving record and current, valid US driver's license with the ability to pass a background motor vehicle report.
  • Mechanically Inclined - minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience or a combination of trade school and relevant experience in industrial environments or applicable fields.
  • Flexible - willing to travel for work and work hours that may include overtime, holidays, weekends as required.
  • Local - currently residing in the eastern, NC region (Raleigh, Fayetteville, Goldsboro) or ability to relocate to the region without company assistance.
  • Independent - willing to work with minimal supervision.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of industrial machinery electrical systems including but not limited to machine controls, circuit troubleshooting and modification, transformers, and use of VOMs.

  • Knowledge of packing equipment such as tray formers and case packing machines and systems.

  • Knowledge or ability to learn programmable glue systems.

  • Knowledge of corrugated box equipment such as tray formers and case packing machines and systems.

For this role, we anticipate paying $20 - $30 per hour. This role is eligible for overtime and holiday pay.
