A keen understanding of a PAC’s annual business plan and where/how Schlage’s electronics portfolio strategically serves a PACs (OEM Access Control) revenue strategy is fundamental to the successful execution of this role. Execution of Allegion’s Credential Innovation Strategy, ensuring Schlage wireless and wired locking hardware interoperability with traditional high-frequency (HF) and mobile credentials deployed by the PAC and their VARs, is strategic and fundamental to achieving these objectives.
Mobile strategy execution is core to the role along with the development of PAC relationships enabling new share and revenue opportunities in core and commercial verticals.
Business plan development will require a collaborative strategy to include PAC Marketing resources, Allegion Demand Generation resources, PAC HQ/Regional Sales and Allegion RSO Sales Resources all designed to develop discretionary hardware revenue, as a complement to Allegion’s premium brand hardware investment, for the PAC, their VAR Channel and Allegion.
Actively contributing with revenue/efficiency generation ideas, technology aptitude and ability/willingness to present new service, integration and product concepts to assigned PACs is a consistent theme in this assignment. We compete in a rapidly evolving and discretionary segment of Allegion’s business; an energetic TEAM FIRST mind-set will lead and contribute to Allegion and role success.
3Cs – Communication/Coordination/Collaboration among Allegion and PAC (OEM Access Control) stakeholder relationships including Sales, Product Management and Engineering is critical ensuring sales pipelines, product/service development and milestone alignment.
What You Will Do:
  • Understand PAC software license (Cloud vs On-Prem), professional service and hardware revenue strategy.
  • Develop, execute and measure via performance an account plan for each assigned PAC.
  • Develop relationships with key influencers including sales leadership, sales personnel, procurement and product management teams.
  • Develop a program and plan to drive new business opportunities with global, national, strategic, consultant or vertical sales teams
  • Immersion in Schlage’s credential innovation strategy and portfolio with resulting ability to lead end user and channel qualifying dialog, prospect identification and deliver end user adoption and win stage status.
  • Active business development role identifying new credential, card reader and intelligent lock opportunities leveraging Allegion’s credential innovation strategy. Collaborate with RSO teams including ESE/ISC/BDC sales personnel plus aligned PACs project pipeline management
  • Lead and develop a DEMAND GENERATION program creating consistent “value-add” messaging to the assigned account. Understand and embed our program into the assigned accounts strategy.
  • Partner with PACS to drive Market Makers growth program.
  • Understand business and market dynamics that drive success with National Integrators, SIMs and indirect dealers.
  • Utilize CRM & other digital tools to communicate sales activities and reporting.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences and other events as need for networking, market analysis and prospecting
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Energy, Hustle and Enthusiasm – showing up with a shoeshine and a smile - a “can-do” work ethic and willingness to engage and lead among peers, channel, and end user customers.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the access control market either working as an integrator, access control OEM or end user customer.
  • Working knowledge of Access Control OEMs or PACs
  • Experience with Apple’s IoS platform as well as Apple’s Student ID and Employee Badge initiative
  • Experience with Google’s Android platform
  • High Frequency (smart card) credential experience; NXP’s MIFARE DESfire and HID’s iClass, iClass SE and SEOS credentials
  • Account plan experience including development and execution
