Summary

The NFL is looking for an SEO copywriter to serve as the internal SEO content expert for NFL.com. This role operates independently but will be expected to collaborate with the clubs, research, editorial, video, and programming teams to ensure that best practices are implemented, identify topics with high potential and produce high quality, search optimized content.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly audit of NFL.com editorial and video content and provide feedback for SEO optimization updates for the editorial and programming teams.
• Write SEO optimized content for major NFL tentpole events (e.g. NFL Draft, Super Bowl, etc.) and keep updated leading through key search periods.
• Write, review and collaborate with the editorial and research teams on evergreen content
• Identify and execute opportunities for new evergreen content
• Work with the product team to review and update metadata on event pages
• Monitor search trends and ensure content that aligns with high potential topics is written and optimized
• Experience with analytics and reporting key SEO data
  

About you

• 3+ years’ experience as a writer and editor
• Thoroughly familiar with SEO concepts such as keywords, domain authority, page impressions, page ranking, etc.
• Experience with content management systems
• Strong written and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of the NFL and related topics
• Comfortable working Sundays
• The NFL requires employees to be onsite in the Inglewood office.
  

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms/Expected Hours of Work

• Part-time / 30 Hours per week, Year Round
