Position Summary:

The Payroll Coordinator is an onsite position that is primarily responsible for assisting and processes a variety of tasks within the Payroll and Benefits Department. The Payroll Coordinator answers payroll related inquiries, assists with timecards, reporting, garnishments, mail, check calculations, time-off accruals, and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll processes for all payroll cycles.
  • Perform regular and AD HOC reports.
  • Audit and review time and attendance for all employees on a weekly basis
  • Create customized payroll and hours reports for management.
  • Enter and reconcile garnishments and tax levies.
  • Perform overtime recalculations.
  • Reconcile job codes utilized for regular payroll processing to promote accurate job costing.
  • Assist employees with payroll related inquiries (accessing pay stubs, changing W4 or direct deposit information, etc.)
  • Provide back-up and ongoing assistance for manual checks and other payroll-related duties.
  • Attend training sessions and seminars as needed
  • Support HR team on special projects and tasks

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working cross departmentally and interfacing with senior personnel
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel and other Microsoft 365 Applications
  • 1 yr of Customer Service experience in a field or position that handles sensitive or confidential information

Pay Rate: $17-$22 hr. DOE

Education and Experience

  • Highschool Diploma or GED Equivalent

Preferred:

  • Associates or 2-year Degree
  • Experience in UKG (HRIS)

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
