Position: Master Scheduler Department: Supply Chain

Reports To: Manager, Planning Site: Cincinnati Regional Operations (CRO)

Create a master schedule for the development services manufacturing and packaging as well as commercial packaging. Collaborate with Purchasing, Logistics, Planning, Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure schedule stability and readiness. Support process improvement initiatives within the Planning team. This individual will receive little instruction on day-to-day work, and general instruction on new assignments, and will work on sophisticated assignments requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a schedule for development services manufacturing and packaging work streams in line with scheduling parameters aligned with operation partners, ensuring maximum asset and labor utilization.
  • Build a schedule for commercial packaging with operation partner using same methodology as the development schedule
  • Collaborate with Planning and Project Management teams to ensure production readiness; enable schedule continuity and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain SAP and Taylor master data integrity.
  • Own and report key metrics, including scheduled attainment and OTIF.
  • Lead Value Stream and Manufacturing Review huddles.
  • Collaborate with Planners and S&OP Planner for required SAP changes to routings.
  • Build positive relationships with cross-functional teams to enable teamwork and process improvements.
  • Lead / participate in weekly Readiness reviews.
  • Support other scheduling functions, including backup to Commercial Manufacturing Scheduler.

Preferred Experience:

  • 5 years Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Formal process improvement / operational excellence training is helpful.
  • Experience in enterprise business systems and business software.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • SAP experience required
  • Previous production scheduling experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to handle conflict and drive resolutions
  • Ability to pull data and compile to formulate improvement initiatives across the department
  • Ability to encourage, champion innovation, collaborate, and effectively run cross-functional teams
  • Concise and effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to support multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Strong understanding of GMP requirements
  • Organized and able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Must be able to think on your feet and process sophisticated schedule changes
  • Must be diligent and able to prioritize multiple tasks

Education

  • BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, or another business or technical field preferred; equivalent experience required.

Physical Requirements

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor and read materials for prolonged periods of time.
