Plant Controller provides direct financial support to the Plant Managers and Business Unit team on strategic initiatives, providing impactful analytics and enabling improved decision making in all aspects of the business.

Plant Controller provides direct financial support to the Plant Managers and Business Unit team on strategic initiatives, providing impactful analytics and enabling improved decision making in all aspects of the business.
Plant Controller Responsibilities:
- Work with operations to drive plant continuous improvements and validate all CI initiatives for accuracy.
- Ensure completion of manufacturing month-end processes and report KPI results.
- Prepare and maintain cost standards for materials, build and maintain BOMS and routers.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and prepare related management reports on an ongoing basis to include: materials usage variance, purchase price variances, labor variances, and overhead variances.
- Develop and implement plant efficiency analysis and reporting and measure productivity savings.
- Coordinate physical inventory procedures including cycle counts, in transit inventory, and inventory reserves.
- Assist with the development of budgets for production related accounts and all operational accounts.
- Monthly reviews of operational cost actual versus plan with functional heads.
- Identify key material and conversion variances and focus operations on those opportunities for improvement. Obtains root-cause explanation of variances.
- Certify LEAN initiatives savings.
- Analyze capital requests for incremental savings and expenses, including ROI calculation.
- Assist with annual audits.
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment required.
- Knowledge of GAAP, IAS, and federal/state financial regulations.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Xtuple or other ERP system preferred.
- Professional written and verbal communications skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some travel.
