We are seeking a Product Manager to join the Generics team in Las Colinas, Texas.

Job Summary

The Generics Product Manager is responsible for managing the generics category of Rx pharmaceuticals products stocked and positioned for sale in PS&S (Pharmaceutical Sales and Solutions) distribution centers. Responsible for directing the development of company and or market requirements for specific products or product lines. The Product Manager will ensure seamless product support by executing upon manufacturer agreements and or notifications, business plans developed with manufacturers, internal policies, and distribution agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and efficient set-up of new products, manage maintenance requirements of existing products, address internal and external generic product concerns related to all aspects of item setup and maintenance.
• Create value through intake, analysis, and coordination of activities related to non-program related stocking offers, investment buys, backup buys, and short dated buy opportunities. Create and maintain a tracker related to the buys, process NPO’s (Non-Purchase Orders), follow up on items related to sell through, and execute on return clauses.
• Manage and drive continuous improvement to an existing generic product discontinuation and NDC (National Drug Code) change process. Partner with ClarusONE on program removals, while working directly with the National Buying Center and Master Data on non-program and Multi-source discontinuations or NDC changes.
• Lead Global Item ID assignment for new generic products at McKesson and perform all maintenance related tasks. Resolve Global Item ID related inquires and manage related communications from ClarusONE and internal teams. Utilize Global Item ID maintenance to identify and correct item setup issues
• Manage and drive the maintenance and consolidation of generic vendor structures where appropriate. Partner with Master Data to ensure proper item alignment and keyword descriptions. Address internal and external generic vendor number inquiries, while partnering with OTC on issues related to generic programs.
• Develop and maintain generic supplier relationships through acting as a liaison between generic manufacturers and McKesson business/departments. First point of contact for problem solving strategies related to generic products.

Minimum Job Qualifications

4+ years relevant experience

Critical skills:

• 3+ years’ experience in areas such as product management, supply chain, purchasing, sourcing, forecasting, or finance.
• 1+ years experience with negotiations and understanding of supplier relationships
• 1+ years experience extracting large amounts of data from McKesson systems (SQL, Business Objects, SCORE, GBAT, Phoenix, SAP etc.)
• 1+ years experience organizing and analyzing data into meaningful and easily disseminated reporting via PC based tools (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• 1+ years experience preparing reports and providing strategic recommendations to leadership, internal, and external stakeholders
• 1+ years experience with development of new programs, systems, and / or business processes

Additional Skills:

• Six Sigma experience a plus
• McKesson business knowledge a plus

Education

4-year degree in business, finance, marketing, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent experience
