Halff Associates has an immediate opening for a Professional Civil Engineer on our Infrastructure Management Team in the Fort Worth, TX office. The desired candidate will be a trustworthy, team oriented, self-motivated, creative problem solver and proactive client manager.
The person in this position will manage projects and staff, evaluate and analyze infrastructure management projects related to municipal public works systems, prepare recommendations for corrective action, collaborate with the Team Leader to provide municipal program support and prepare results and deliverables for clients, and be responsible for program results and communication with key clients.
Responsibilities will include municipal public works systems support for prioritization, rehabilitation, and renewal projects; client engagement through results visualization, technical writing, and presentations; staff management and project task delegation; and collaboration with the Team Leader for service area development and staff development. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has the willingness and ability to strengthen and develop relationships with clients as well as junior engineers and analyst staff.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with PE license in Texas.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in municipal public works projects and/or analyses along with demonstrated infrastructure management emphasis
- Pipeline rehabilitation and/or condition assessment project experience, with emphasis on trenchless rehabilitation methods
- Data fluency working with municipal, state, and federal clients including utility data
- Leadership experience including project scoping, planning, budgeting, delegation, and staff management
- Experience with technical and marketing presentations for staff and clients
Desired Skills:
- Critical thinking to solve municipal public works issues as well as data analysis issues
- Project management with emphasis on data analyses and infrastructure/asset management components
- Database management best practices understanding and experience
- Accountability for successful completion of tasks
- Resource allocation and staff management and desire to improve workflows
- Communication and collaboration skills to develop junior staff skills and provide mentorship
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to effectively evaluate and summarize project findings
- QA/QC implementation
- Work ethic that’s strong and efficient
- Ability to monitor/adjust effort to meet task goals within budget
