Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of Quality Packaging’s assigned customers.
  • Manages inventory and it’s processes for their respective customers.
  • Manages Inventory Control Specialist; manages cycle counting prior day production and next day production, manages incoming reporting from ICS, and manages OT hours as communicated from upper management.
  • Identifies partial pallets, communicates to production and has them consolidated weekly.
  • Creates weekly report to Sales (inventory levels, upcoming expiry dates)
  • Coordinates disposition of product within 1 week of the expiry date
  • Serves as a liaison between the customer and management.
  • Enters receivers, shipments, and production information into spreadsheets/customer system.
  • Scans and emails all the receiver and shipments paperwork to the customer
  • Creates production schedules based on customer demand.
  • Creates and print job tickets instructions for the production team.
  • Creates shipping paperwork for S&R
  • Examines documents, materials, and products, and monitors work processes in order to assess margins, completeness, accuracy, cleanliness, and conformance to standard and specifications.
  • Coordinates production with floor supervisor
  • Assists in the preparation of any special request and research as needed such as time studies for new projects, testing samples, etc.
  • Resolves customer’s concerns and establish good relationships.
  • Notifies customers of any product issue and get disposition within 5 days.
  • Answers emails and returns calls promptly.
  • Provides support in the creation of new pricing/quotes.
  • Takes appointment calls.
  • Helps ordering supplies and enters assorted QPNS, Pro Pac purchase orders, and sales orders.
  • Completes billing worksheet for other projects at month end or upon completion.
  • Completes WIP worksheet.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot & V look up tables, formulas), Power point and Word.
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing and/or consumer packaged goods environment
  • Work experience multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Time management abilities
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Able to commute to work to fulfill the 8am to 5pm schedule.
