The PM, Drug Supply Chain Security will provide key expertise to the USA region with regards to all track and trace related activities impacting the market. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of support to colleagues across the entire enterprise, trading partners, and federal / state regulators with all matters pertaining to product tracking / tracing regulations (including DSCSA). This is a critical thought-leadership role that will be at the forefront of supporting key strategic initiatives, including development of systems and processes to comply primarily with the DSCSA but also other international regulations impacting the region.

This role will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of an effective compliance program for drug supply chain compliance and product safety, identifying potential compliance risks associated with business strategies, and establishing effect controls and compliance oversight related to those risks.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Subject matter expertise in pharmaceutical product serialization, track and trace systems (SAP ATTP, ICH, EPCIS, etc) and associated challenges and risks impacting the US pharmaceutical supply chain.

  • Significant experience and familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, including federal / state / international regulations, DSCSA requirements, verification of trading partners, etc.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills to interact with senior leadership and regulatory agencies.

  • Ability to drive organized, multi-function collaboration, including with non-SC partners.

  • Partner with external trading partners and internal stakeholders to develop robust operational solutions.

  • Partner with external trading partners and internal stakeholders to understand and resolve more complex matters such as tracing, verification, and suspect product investigations.

  • Lead and support Novartis serialization system implementation around SAP ATTP and SAP ICH system.

  • Support Novartis internal manufacturing system and contract manufacturing system integration using ATTP and SAP ICH system.



The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $136,800 and $205,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Role:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree / STEM preferred
  • SAP experience required
  • Supply Chain / Project management experience required
  • 5 + years of relevant business experience
