Full Job Description Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner- PMHNP APRN

Salary: 140,000-150,000 5K per year sign-on bonus up to 25,000/5 year commitment

Setting: Amazing mental health non-profit located in Gloversville NY with over 40 years of experience providing mental health care and support programs to the residents of Gloversville and Fulton County. Daily life: Working with clients in an outpatient clinic setting. No on call, weekends, or evenings required. Population served is through the lifespan. Option for hybrid two days a week however, full time in person preferred. Practitioners will conduct client initial psychiatric evaluations, medication follow-ups, and collaborate on cases with other providers when needed. Time will be allotted for daily administrative time, collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams, and with other psychiatric providers.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing or DNP from accredited College or University
• Minimum of 2 years of PMHNP prescribing experience
• Board certification as a PMHNP in NY
• DEA license with full prescriptive authority
• Previous experience working in community health preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provides patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession.
• Provides psychiatric health services, education, counseling and emotional support.
• Oversee and monitor psychotropic medications
• Orders laboratory tests, interprets and explains the test results to patients.
• Provides patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits and reasonable outcome expectations.
• Communicates with patients and engages in follow-up as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
