At Gates, we welcome challenges, celebrate hard work, and continually seek new talent to join our global company. Our Global Product Line Management team is looking to backfill a Regional Product Line Manager (RPLM) for Hydraulics, based in Denver, CO USA.


The RPLM-Hydrualics will report to the Vice President of Global Product Line Management for Hydrualics. S/he will work closely with sales, sales ops/analytics, and customers to capture VOC and incorporate it into the overall strategic planning and new product commercialization processes while also supporting commercial teams to drive the sales pipeline and close opportunities. The RPLM-Hydraulics will partner with cross-functional teams to manage the Hydraulics portfolio across the entire product lifecycle from launch preparation through to commercialization and end-of-life.


Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct Voice-of-Customer (VOC) interviews and feeds customer desires into the internal organization through customer visits, industry association participation, and competitive research. Continually analyze and interpret customer questions, requirements, or problems.
  • Drive North America adoption of new products. Support all aspects of new product launch and growth initiatives and manage all products from commercialization phase into end of life process.
  • Support commercial teams with top-line accountability for the product line, including ensuring proper organizational support and coordination for new opportunities, as well as resolving backlog situations with Sales & Operations Planning and Operations to achieve financial and other operating metrics.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing communications materials for Hydraulics in North America, internal and external - in coordination with global and other regional communication efforts. Share expertise with others through formal and informal channels (training, webinars, email, etc)
  • Maintain current knowledge and expertise of product engineering technologies, new product designs, competitor capabilities and practices, market conditions, and market channels in order to contribute to short and mid -term plans and strategies. Share success stories between markets and regions. Responsible for assessing regional competitive landscape for both Industrial Replacement and First Fit (OEM) markets.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or Marketing from an accredited institution required;
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing, outside field sales, application and/or product engineering or business development experience
  • Experience in North American industrial markets preferred, with a preference for hydraulics or rubber products
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and graphical representation of large data sets.
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills to deliver high quality, executive-ready presentations
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time,
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in both written and verbal communications
  • Excited to work in the office with great teammates
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
