Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general direction, administers the general accounting and patient business services, including third-party reimbursement, financial and statistical reporting functions of the hospital, in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Completes all assigned Journal Entries per time schedule for the hospital to include inter and intra company and division allocations.
• Reviews the assigned sections of FS trial balance for accuracy.
• Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts on a timely basis.
• Assists with preparation of annual Medicare Cost report work papers.
• Prepares assigned year-end and interim work papers.
• Assist in annual budget process, preparing schedules and researching accounts.
• Perform cash, charge, and credit card reviews for on-site cafeteria daily.
• Review and maintain facility pcard accounts reconciling to monthly statements.
• Review and bill industrial client accounts in according to written agreements monthly.
• Prepare and review SOX leasing documents/payments to ensure all are within SOX reporting requirements.
• Complete monthly filing of Lincoln Property manage property facility incurred expenses and report to Lincoln Property accounting personnel.
• Assist in preparation of monthly Standard Monthly Accrual to estimate discounts and contractual adjustments on patient accounts
• Act as backup support to QMIRS statistical reporting.
• Supports Assistant Controller, Controller and CFO with any special assignments.
• May have to work outside of normal working hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on when the month end close process occurs.
• Performs other related functions as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience, preferably in the healthcare field preferred
