As a member of the Information Services Department, the Senior Project Manager will define, organize, manage and execute technology projects to improve business results and client experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Works with manager and others to define this new functional area, building the project intake, management, communications and delivery standards and processes
  • Leadership, mentoring & education to other Project Managers and others in the IS and business areas who will run projects using the new standards
  • Manage projects, develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor performance deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Lead requirements gathering meetings in a way to ensure the end solution meets the requestors “needs” versus “wants”.
  • Effectively communicate your project plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Coordinate resources and timetables with business departments and IS teams.
  • Analytical skills to identify risk and solve any problems which may arise during a project.
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to make necessary project adjustments and produce useful visuals and reports when necessary.
  • Partner with business teams to create User Acceptance Test plans and serve as a liaison between technical and business teams when conducting the testing.
  • Recommend project management strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organization needs.
  • Drive the development of a systems roadmap that will drive scalability, business optimization, and zero-touch processes.
  • Work with leaders to define success measures & metrics.
  • Plan for ongoing resource & capacity requirements. Effectively manage team resources and delegate tasks commensurate with skill level.
  • Suggest innovations and technical/process improvements that will lead to efficiencies and/or automation.
  • Keep abreast of applications technologies through attendance of seminars, conferences, training programs, and meetings held by professional groups.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline required. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

Experience:

  • 10 years of IT industry experience
  • 10 years of project management experience
  • Significant management experience including senior member/project leader for enterprise cross-functional teams

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent project management and organization skills.
  • Strong leadership and people skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers and clients.
  • Strong professional communication both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Experience with both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Gather requirements and process mapping experience required.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.
  • Proactive, self-motivated with a high level of ownership and drive to achieve goals.
  • Skill to document complex systems and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of system life cycle processes.
  • Relevant technical, functional and/or process expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to navigate sometimes ambiguously-defined problems, developing creative solutions and delivering meaningful results.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • The Firm maintains a COVID-19 vaccination policy. If unvaccinated, a mask will not be required to be worn in the office unless required by local or state government.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Medium Work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects 20 to 50 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds.

VISUAL ACUITY

Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
