Job Description Optima is seeking a Site Manager to manage many daily activities for the company’s main inbound hub (Windsor Locks, CT) in addition to a small warehouse in Stamford, CT. He/she will oversee local supervisors, employees and ensure operational work efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Strategically address issues and adheres to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Oversee supervisors, employees, and temps in 2 locations (Windsor Locks and Stamford, CT). Interview and hire potential candidates.

· Manage shift schedules and prepare weekly contingencies for call outs. Includes covering routes in last resort cases.

· Monitors daily operational/process compliance.

· Conducts training for new and existing employees.

· Manages workloads to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.

· Evaluates operational capacity to identify potential gaps and creates solutions that will result in a positive outcome.

· Provides employee feedback and support, participates in performance evaluations, and resolves individual and group performance issues.

· Be responsible for daily internal reports and driver performance reporting.

· Stand for prolonged periods of time, 8-10 hours.

· Able to lift 50lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Knowledge and Skills

· 5+ years in a supervisory capacity and 8-10 years of overall experience working in a logistics/transportation environment.

· Experience with distribution operations and understanding of inbound & outbound linehauls.

· Proven track record of motivating team members

· Ability to innovative/produce creative solutions

· Strong communication skill (written/verbal)

· Demonstrated ability to partner with all levels of the organization

· Computer skills (MS Office)

· Intermediate/Expert MS Excel

· Extreme Attention to Detail

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Majors, Supply Chain & Logistics, or Data Analytics/Database Management strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
