Position Summary:
Penn Foster Group is seeking a skilled Test Engineer with both manual and automation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing automated and manual test suites for web applications. The Test Engineer will collaborate with developers, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, experience with test automation tools such as Cypress or Selenium, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop, implement and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure that software is meeting requirements and specifications
• Report and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve them
• Identify areas of improvement in the software testing process and implement solutions
• Design and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Cypress or Selenium
• Analyze and report on test results and provide recommendations for improving product quality
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, maintainable code
• Work with the QA team to continuously improve the testing process, tools and methodologies
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and automation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of experience in manual and automated testing of web applications
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or JavaScript
• Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress or Selenium
• Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
