Performs medium to high complexity analyses to evaluate business performance and identify trends and issues in assigned states; makes actionable recommendations for improvement. Independently manages projects of low to moderate complexity for assigned states. Provides proactive consultation to stakeholder groups on state-based filing strategy and approach, DOI climate/attitude toward the company, objection handling and historical responses, and competitor activity. Works collaboratively with Filings Operations team to maintain state specific knowledge to achieve operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Operate as the DSO and State DOI main point of contact.
  • Presents analyses and results of state level initiatives to stakeholder groups, influences decision making at state level, is considered a thought partner for state level decisions.
  • Conduct internal and competitor state research.
  • Perform Annual State Review pre filing consultation, strategy development and objection handling.
  • Responsible for the creation of state specific filing support.
  • Works collaboratively with LOB Specialists to determine and execute on state specific needs of CW programs.
  • Provide complex state nuance support for major program roll outs, working with LOB Specialists.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of rate, rule and form filing processes requirements and regulations in all assigned jurisdictions for all assigned lines of business
  • Knowledge of property casualty insurance operations, products and services
  • Well developed written and oral commination skills
  • Excellent organization, negotiation skills, strong computer skills and knowledge as normally obtained through a bachelor`s degree or equivalent plus 2 to 4 years of experience in related field
