Teen Program Director
Develop, implement and manage Concordia Places teen programs to meet community need, achieve program goals and organization mission. Reports to Vice President Program Services.

Responsibilities

Program Design

• Generate ideas to keep programs fresh, leading edge, and addressing community need
• Develop and implement program curriculum that aligns with program goals and organizational mission
• Direct day-to-day program operations to help teens achieve developmental goals
• Ensure the safety of program participants for on- and off-site activities

Program Operations

• Develop program and project budgets; manage program expenses to budget
• Anticipate risk factors and implement and ensure mitigating procedures and protocols for participant safety; includes on-site and off-site activities
• Train and supervise teen program instructors; support team professional development
• Create healthy program environment; ensure strong classroom management skills
• Achieve enrollment goals and supporting marketing plan
• Adhere to Concordia operational policies, such as admission interviews; suggest and help implement improvements
• Ensure teens and families are aware of Concordia policies and expectations
• Use Concordia systems and processes to enroll participants, track revenues, etc.
• Ensure required records, data, etc. for funding source requirements; manage CitySpan or other external data systems
• Coordinate program with other segments of Concordia
• Collaborate with and escalate issues and program dismissals to management

Excellence in Mission/Outcomes

• Measure, analyze, and track program outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness
• Gather feedback from participants; analyze results, make appropriate suggestions
• Actively participate and contribute in Network of Colleagues to support Concordia Place being a learning organization
• Embrace and advance the Concordia messaging and communications strategy that builds Concordias external brand, reputation and visibility
• Ensure program spaces and equipment are clean, present well, and meet program needs

Funding and Stakeholder Relations

• Develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders and community groups; collaborate with Advancement on stewardship strategies and activities
• Actively inspire, promote and champion Concordia outreach and advancement strategies through networks, presentations, events, community, social media, etc.
• Coordinate with Advancement to help identify and develop proposals for public and private funding
• Collaborate with Advancement team for interested volunteer leaders and donors
• Other duties as assigned

Salary, Perks and Benefits

• Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
• Signing bonus of $1,000!

Experience and Requirements

• Minimum four-year college degree in a related field
• Experienced in community agency program delivery for teens
• Curriculum development
• Experience with budget development
• Strong planning, organization and implementation skills; able to balance multiple tasks and set priorities
• Inspiring presentation skills; highly-effective writer and communicator
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Evidence of emotional maturity and stability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• While some remote work is possible, this role will interact with instructors, participants, funders, other stakeholders (such as parents, community leaders, industry leaders) and Concordia program leaders that may require frequent in-person meetings, onsite visibility, and events within and outside of normal business hours
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. There may be long periods of sitting and computer and phone use; other activities while performing this job may require lifting up to 30-pounds
