Denver Human Services is seeking a knowledgeable, empathetic, and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Training Assistant/ Document Runner (Administrative Support Assistant IV) for the Document Runner Team and the Training and Development Team within the Performance Improvement and Accountability Division (PIAD). In this role, you will have a variety of duties assigned depending on the support needed for each team. Duties may include screening customer calls to verify what forms may be needed, entering document requests, transporting the documents to/from the customer’s home, maintaining outlook calendars for trainings, creating new worker training accounts, and other vast variety of office support.
Additionally, this role requires utilizing the state and county systems to verify customer benefit information. The ability to collaborate with team members to achieve the success of the teams’ goals. To achieve this, you must have a high level of kindness and compassion when engaging with Denver Human Services’ internal and external customers.
The Training Assistant/ Document Runner will:
  • Need to be able to effectively communicate amongst 2 teams
  • Be able to take verbal instructions and turn them into independent and self-directed
  • tasks/projects that are completed with minimal supervision
  • Review and collect information needed to validate a pickup or drop off document(s) needed to apply or maintain State and or Federal benefits and or County services administered by DDHS.
  • Be comfortable commuting to several locations in the Denver County and or nearby counties throughout the workday
  • May assess the client for referral to additional resources
  • Provides direct services by dropping off or picking up documents at the family’s residence (Applications, Child Support Forms, Verification)
  • Assist with the completion of applications and other forms
  • Connect with other divisions or agencies, as necessary
  • Collect pertinent documents/verifications/forms
  • Maintaining and tracking test results
  • Sending assessment certificates
  • Maintaining incoming training requisitions for the training team
  • Be proficient and comfortable completing multiple office type duties

  • Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
  • Experience: Three (3) years of full performance office support/clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III).
  • Education & Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements
  • Licensure & Certification: By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application
