Position Summary:
Valley Medical Group is seeking an Outpatient Pediatrician. Pediatrician will care of children ages 0-18 years and should be interested in developing the new General Pediatrics program. Pediatrician will work with VMG leadership to build and market a general Pediatrics program. Direct the activities of the medical staff and ensure that clinical services are delivered safely and appropriately within the guidelines established by Valley Medical Group Ambulatory Care and JCAHO. Establishes appropriate care plans for children and refers to VMG specialists as appropriate. Always demonstrates and models service excellence behavior and leads efforts for monitoring and improving patient/family experience. Responds with concern, cooperation, and respect. Establishes cooperative working relationships with all individuals with whom contact is made. Delegates clinical tasks appropriate to the level of training of each staff member. Ensures the professional development of self and team. Participates in the practice 's œon-call  schedules as needed. Is available for emergency calls from VMG staff or physicians. Promotes and practices economical and effective healthcare. Work on clinical projects and initiatives at the request of the VMG Chair of Children Services.

Position requirement:
M.D or D.O from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy from a recognized institution
Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Pediatrics
A valid New Jersey State Medical license, DEA, and CDS is required.
BLS, PALS required and ACLS preferred
Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges.
