Tribute Eatery & Bar in Coralville, IA is looking for a full-time Assistant General Manager to join our team. If you have restaurant experience and are looking for a place to grow your career this is the job for you.

Pay Range: $42,000 per year and up based on experience, plus quarterly bonus opportunities.

Schedule: Consistent work schedule of 40-45 hours per week with weekend availability. The schedule will differ based on business needs.

Accountabilities:

• Assist General Manager with leading front-of-house pre-shift rallies.
• Assist with all accountability standards such as daily duties, server phase work, bar phase work, etc.
• Oversee the performance and job functions of the FOH staff during the shift.

Essential Functions:

• Working FOH staff shifts, ensuring the team is winning on FAST, FRIENDLY, and ATTENTIVE service.
• Assist with providing the necessary tools/checklists for front-of-house staff to effectively set the stage of the restaurant to ensure readiness & presentability.
• Assist with the success and growth of front-of-house staff.
• Monitor the productivity, performance & urgency of team members most notably our commitment to FAST, FRIENDLY, and ATTENTIVE service.
• Be comfortable and ready to assist in any FOH role (host, bar, serve, assist expo) when needed.
• Monitoring equipment and facility repair/cosmetic needs, taking action, making any service calls if necessary, and reporting any issues to the GM.
• Actively engage our guests by making personal touches and being the face of Tribute
• Ensure the satisfaction of our guests, with genuine empathy, hear their concerns, and use comping privileges as necessary.
• Take the 15 Rules of Hospitality to heart. Display them, coach them, encourage & enforce them.

• Communicate with all members of the management and leadership teams. Ask for help when necessary.
• Demonstrate reliability by showing up to work on time and being ready to tackle the day.

• Move with a sense of urgency to set the tone for the shift. Bring a positive attitude & energy to work.
• Complete all daily, monthly, and yearly tasks in a thorough and timely manner.
• Own the shift. Do not leave with things undone or disheveled.
• Ability to have hard conversations with staff when someone is not performing to our standards.
• Must be willing to show flexibility in scheduling and able to work past scheduled hours in cases of call-ins and unexpected business spikes.
• Know and use the core values to manage, make decisions, and inspire others to do the same.
• Run badass shifts with a focus on the guest experience. Prioritize and use time wisely balancing the floor vs. ongoing duties.
• Communicate effectively with team members on all levels be it via face-to-face, 7Shifts, meetings, or Slack.
• Commitment to ensuring all guests leave the establishment fulfilled and had a great experience.
