We have a fantastic opportunity for a Biomedical Engineer (Full-Time) at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the support of Montefiore New Rochelle's clinical, biomedical, analytical, laboratory and scientific systems and devices. Support includes testing, basic troubleshooting, basic repairs, preventive maintenance, inspection, calibration and documentation in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements and hospital's policies and procedures.

Job Duties

* Perform monthly PM's assigned by the manager. 40%

* Respond to unscheduled service calls. Identify stat vs routine calls and respond accordingly. 40%

* Educate equipment users when a service call is detarmined to be "user error"- not an actual equipment failure. 2%

* Document all PM's and work orders in the Four Rivers CMMS system.

* Coordinate service with outside vendors to service equipment not services by in-house bio-engineering. 5%

* Manage medical equipment recalls and alerts utilizing the ECRI system and verifying if the recalled devices are in the Four Rivers CMMS database

Job Requirement

* Associate Degree in Biomed, Electronic or equivalent Required

* Bachelor's Degree in Biomed, Electronic or equivalent (Preferred)

* AAMI Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) preferred

* Applicant must be familiar with computers, laptops, general office equipments

* Applicant should have basic mechanical, electrical and electronic skills.

* Applicant must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,281.60 per year
