Job Summary:
Coordinate, analyze and present department budgets related to annual planning, monthly expense results and full year reforecasting Billing/Enrollment($40 million dollar budget with about 295 FTE), Claims ($7 million budget) and Vendor Call center ($58 million budget)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with divisional management, Actuarial, and Financial Planning and Analysis to develop annual revenue, claims, and enrollment plans.
  • Extensive analytical knowledge around budget drivers, while identifying opportunities for cost savings/efficiencies.
  • Own the monthly budget, P&L, enrollment, unit cost analyses, including variance explanations, and re-forecasting.
  • Lead and coordinate monthly accounting-closing activities including accruals, transfers, billings, vendor payments and inter-company expense adjustments for purposes of preparing monthly financial reports and statements.
  • Organize and lead monthly budget presentation to Operation Senior Vice President
  • Own the development of the annual operating plan for claims and partner call center including all revenue and expense components.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial analyses of Claims and Call Center results, and work with Finance and the Claims/Call Center Directors to maximize reimbursement levels.
  • Prepare calculations and assesses financial penalties based on contractual performance.
  • Monitor personnel changes for impact on administrative expense budget and quarterly forecasting. Includes, supervising the tracking of open positions and staffing analysis, and providing open position analyses reporting to department heads and senior management team.Coordinates projects for the area, including development of ROI analyses.

Education/Experience:
  • 5+ years of business, finance or other relevant experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Finance, Accounting, Economics are preferred major fields
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
  • Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong financial modeling experience
Salary Range:
$83,000 - $113,295
This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
