Lead Preschool Teacher (Child Care)

We are currently seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team at FUNdamentals. The teacher is responsible for the day-to-day management of the classroom, and for the health, welfare and safety of each child in the group. Where relevant, the teacher will provide guidance to the teacher’s assistant and classroom volunteers.

We are currently seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team at FUNdamentals. The teacher is responsible for the day-to-day management of the classroom, and for the health, welfare and safety of each child in the group. Where relevant, the teacher will provide guidance to the teacher’s assistant and classroom volunteers.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education in Early Childhood: BA, CDA, or Associates degree, or a CPL 3.
- Must have a thorough understanding of early childhood development.
- Must have or get the required ODJFS (each initial course is 6 hours and refresher courses are 3 hours every 2-3 years: First Aid, Child Abuse, CPR and Communicable Disease).
- Must complete 30 hours of approved Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) training every 2 years.
- Follows all licensing regulations set forth by the Ohio State Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), SUTQ % Star guidelines, Healthy Ohio, Universal Pre-Kindergarten, Teaching Strategies Gold and the USDA CACFP.
