Description;

Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Station Casinos’ “We Win Hearts” Company-wide culture. Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. Strong business acumen with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all business levels. Negotiate event, supplier and vendor contracts. Maintain an effective and productive working relationship with all departments. Understand the duties and functions of other departments. Assume fiscal responsibility and accountability for department budgets to include; budget projections, budget management, review/payment of invoices and fiscal reconciliation/documentation. Develop and oversee the marketing plan for Group Sales, Catering Sales, SMERF, and Corporate market segments. Responsible for monitoring booking activity to ensure that revenue and profitability objectives are met. Ensure Managers are soliciting new business and creating awareness of the Property and Company through utilization of database and other tools to manage, track, forecast, close and report on department efforts and results. Oversee all travel for Department and assign duties to promote Station Casinos in the Meeting, Event and Social markets. Direct responsibility to coordinate and ensure department communication is disseminated to Leadership and related departments, including any resumes, post event reports or feedback/surveys. Establish monthly goals and review monthly progress and whether goals are being met. Suggest ways of making goals and provide the necessary tools to achieve set objectives. Hold weekly GRC meeting, weekly reviews and analysis of inventory in order to yield the highest group rates possible and flex to as needed. Establish, implement and enforce Catering departmental policies and procedures. Develop and oversee the training and development of the catering team and ensure servicing of events meets standards. Responsible for Banquet areas with regular tours and inventory audits. Responsible to order, oversee and monitor supplies and rentals items for banquets. Promote a free exchange of ideas among Managers, Coordinators and Account Executives to improve procedures and operational standards within the department. Provide regular feedback to Managers regarding specific job responsibilities. Counsel, discipline, and conduct formal performance appraisals as required. Document and notify Leadership of any problems that may affect forecasted numbers and suggest ideas to increase revenue objectives and goals. Attend weekly Forecast Meetings, Leadership and Property meetings.

Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in written and verbal form. Recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency. Ability to incorporate an integrated and structured approach toward developing an environment that fosters success. Three (3) Years’ experience in food and beverage management or Catering related field preferred. Five (5) Years’ experience as Director of Sales preferred. Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines. Ability to manage and perform a variety of duties with extreme care and attention to detail. Possess strong organizational and time management skill, driving tasks to completion. Maintain a positive attitude in the face of criticisms, rejection, or failure.
