Dog walkers and pet care providers needed

Do you love animals and pets? Do you like to be active and outdoors? Fetch! Pet Care Providence – Bay Area is hiring professional pet sitters for dog walking and pet sitting assignments.

We are a locally owned franchise servicing Warwick, East Greenwich, and Cranston. Although locally owned and managed we have the backing of America’s largest and most trusted professional dog walking and pet sitting franchise, Fetch! Pet Care.

We are seeking friendly, reliable, and honest individuals to walk dogs, and care for dogs and cats in their owner’s homes while their owners are away. We also provide our clients Almost Overnight and Overnight Care, Puppy Care and Pet Transportation.

This is not an independent contractor role; you will be a W2 employee of Fetch! Pet Care Providence – Bay Area.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must genuinely love and have knowledge around caring for pets.
• Must be comfortable walking and caring for all sizes and breeds of dogs/animals in all types of weather.
• Must live in or around the areas we service. (Warwick, East Greenwich, and Cranston)
• Must own a smartphone with internet, texting, and email capabilities.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to attend promotional events outside.

Skills & Experience:

• Vet Tech, Shelter or Volunteer experience preferred.
• Must be able to complete the Fetch! Pet Care training program
• Must follow safety protocols according to brand standards and training.
• Must put the welfare of the animals at the forefront of all you do.
• Must be willing to work Weekends, and Holidays as this is when most of our services are requested.
• Willing to be a back-up sitter as needed.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Physical Job Requirements:

• Must be able to be on your feet several times a day while dog walking.
• Must be able to visually observe people and animals from up to 150 feet away.
• Must be capable of effectively controlling the leash of all sized dogs.
• Must be able to assess situations accurately, calmly and be able to respond quickly.
• This is a part-time position with flexible hours and great pay!
