Position Description:
Drives business operations at the Retail Operations Center (ROC) location to help fund the Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) mission of ending poverty in Arizona and Maryland. Key responsibilities include people leadership, warehouse logistics operations, financial management, inventory control, customer service, and training & development of team members. Proficient in all operational areas of the ROC related to inventory distribution, movement, storage, control, and organization. Interacts closely with Transportation Department to ensure quality service for the Retail Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops and executes operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for controlling expenses and inventory.
2. Analyzes department operations; identifies and maintains cost effective operations to meet budgetary requirements.
3. Coordinates with Leadership to develop and implement strategic plans to help drive daily operations.
4. Partners with leadership on key initiatives to ensure financial and operational goals are met.
5. Ensures that inventory distribution and organization are as efficient as possible.
6. Ensures team members deliver excellent customer service to vendors and customers.
7. Ensures ROC location is clean, well-kept, and reflects the Goodwill brand appropriately.
8. Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
9. Ensures that the retail stores and ROC Departments (Warehouse Operations’ customers) needs are met.
10. Partners closely with Transportation Department to ensure efficient operations.
11. Ensures that all team members are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
12. Ensures that daily operational goals are met.
13. Ensures that team members are operating per company safety standards and procedures.
14. Partners with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
15. Assists with building a high-performing team and creating a culture of safety.
16. Responsible for assisting with performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of team members.
17. Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.

19. Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years’ Warehouse Operations / Logistics experience
  • 7 years of prior leadership experience, preferably in the Logistics Industry
  • 7 years’ multi-unit experience preferred
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA Regulations regarding Lift Truck Safety
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
