We are a non-profit organization running Head Start and comparable state funded early childcare and education programs throughout the state of Oregon. Position Summary:

Under the direction of supervisor, coordinates and implements family and health services. Ensures compliance, quality, and timeliness by monitoring family and health services to children, families, and pregnant women. Assists supervisor with community resource development, community outreach, and partnership building. Assists supervisor with community needs assessments and program information reports. Collaborates with and supports ERSEA and PFCE activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors the delivery of direct and indirect services in the areas of family and health services to ensure the needs of individual children, families, and pregnant women are met based on assessments.
  • Collaborates with Regional RN to ensure care plans are developed timely to meet the needs of children.
  • Approves enrollment documentation for family and health services.
  • Observes classrooms to ensure staff maintain safe and healthy environments.
  • Assists Family Advocates with resources to support planning and implementing transition activities that support children and families.
  • Supports staff in connecting families to needed resources in the community such as providing community resource information to Family Advocates for distribution to parents as needed.
  • Collaborates with Outreach Coordinator and CO Content Specialist to ensure all educational materials and resources are readily available for families.
  • Supports supervisor in organizing and implementing of local Health Services Advisory Committee (HSAC) meetings.
  • Collaborates with local agencies to build partnerships, establish resources, and/or obtain services for families in the areas of family and health services. Participates in local agency committees, boards, etc.
  • Participates in the planning and delivering of parent events.
  • Assists with implementation of program’s recruitment, enrollment, and placement of children.
  • Updates parents on agency policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to family and health services.
  • Participates in case management meetings as needed.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential systems, database, files, etc. for tracking, documentation, reporting, and case management of family and health services. Monitors child and family’s documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Education and Job Requirements:

A combination of education (with a minimum of a high school diploma) and/or experience equivalent to an associate degree. (Course work and experience is to be in in social work, community outreach, health, and/or related fields.) Preferred: AA/AS degree or higher in social work, community outreach, health, and/or related related field.

  • A minimum of an additional two years of related experience in social work, community outreach, health, and/or related fields. Preferred: A minimum of an additional two years of related experience with additional supervisory experience.

Pay: $51,001.60 - $61,256.00 per year
