Hiring Guest Service Agent for a boutique hotel in Beverly Hills

Job brief

Come join our friendly Front desk team at Sirtaj Hotel in Beverly Hills.

We are a small, stylish 32 rooms luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Beverly Hills, just 2 blocks from the famous Rodeo Drive. We are looking for a Hotel Guest Service agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. The vital position is the first face to meet and greet guests, to create the all-important first impression, and the last to bid guests farewell.

We are looking for a pleasant Guest service Agent to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. You will be the “face” of the company for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make.The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential.

The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guest in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Answer questions and address complaints
  • Answer all incoming calls and redirect them or keep messages
  • Take up other duties as assigned (travel arrangements, schedules, etc.)
  • Perform all check in and check outs.
  • Manage all online and phone reservations.
  • Collect all necessary information and contacts of the Registered Guest.
  • Register guests, assign room, issue room keys, provide information regarding hotel services, room location, facilities, amenities and operating hours.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping staff to track Clean rooms or room change.
  • Give guests access to the parking lot.
  • Upsell additional services, when appropriate.
  • Respond to guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work to increase overall guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate with all departments regarding in house VIPs, and any special request and need
  • Listening and responding to guest inquires using a positive, clear speaking voice.
  • Professionally answering all emails and telephone inquiries.
  • Maintaining up to date working knowledge of all hotel amenities, as well as any special events.
  • Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper, etc.)
  • Check, sort, and forward emails
  • Keep updated records and files

Requirements

  • Fluent in English for verbal and written communication-
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
  • Team-player who is flexible with varying shifts.
  • Customer Service attitude and friendly nature.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Safety and security minded.
  • Punctual and responsible.
  • Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer, etc.)
  • Knowledge of front desk operations
  • knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • High School diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
