The position is to provide web updates for the ASOS website (weather.gov/ASOS). Currently all updates are conducted via their integrated content management system (CMS) which limits the control authority to basic HTML and whatever JavaScript is embedded in the .css files. At the minimum (and with current system limitations), the candidate must possess:

• A solid proficiency of HTML coding
• Ability to organize and structure content in a way that is digestible to the end user and can be navigated quickly. Must also be able to organize and incorporate feedback on technical content to ensure that the information be published is accurate and up to date.
• At least a general understanding of graphics editing programs to do minor remastering of website pictures, embedding text into images, size and color balancing of existing images, etc.
• An aesthetic eye that can help bring a more 21st century look to a website (though this ability will be constrained by the limited workspace that the candidate will have control over)
• Be able to track and prioritize tasks as they are assigned, and incorporate them into the larger schedule for the website
