HHA Shift Supervisor
Job description
We are an Assisted Living residential facility in Westbury, and we are looking for a HHA Shift Supervisor to provide personal care services, assistance, support, and supervision to residents, in addition to the supervision of onsite caregivers on shift in the delivery of community care. Demonstrated competency and prior experience in a similar setting preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Scheduling Coordinator with shift scheduling as needed.
- Ensure care staff have completed documentation daily and on every shift.
- Assist with move-in of new residents, and or room changes.
- Assist by response to resident(s) emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention/follow-up.
- Monitor health, safety, and well-being of residents.
- Report information pertaining to changes in residents' health and
o functional status, personal needs, etc.
- Make brief entry of shift activities and submit it to supervisor daily.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by Administration.
Skills:
- Must be detailed oriented and able to work independently and with a team
- Must have a friendly and engaging manner; able to work with Seniors and the care plan team
