How will you make an impact?

As an Instructional Designer, you will lead crafting training for the Plainville facility. As a part of the Plainville Training Team, we will create a culture of learning and development the site! The ideal candidate will be a creative, motivated individual with an understanding of crafting engaging eLearning materials and be willing to quickly learn new tools, and possess strong interpersonal skills. We will work to build a training mentality that continually grows and develops content that enables personnel to perform their tasks with more confidence and accuracy!

Location: Plainville, MA - 5 Commerce Boulevard

What will you do?

  • Craft and develop learning materials for a variety of tasks
  • Build outlines and script recorded materials
  • Build out eLearning using Articulate and Vyond
  • Design user experience for virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality training
  • Work as part of a team to build training
  • Apply instructional design principles to build the training library
  • Communicate effectively with cross functional teams to discover learning opportunities
  • Lead requests for Learners in a Learning Management System

How will you get here?

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Media/Design, English, Education; or other related degree with relevant work or internship experience; instructional design experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office programs, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • 1 to 3 years of validated experience using Articulate, Vyond or other similar eLearning authoring tool
  • Validated spelling, grammar, and writing skills required to build and edit content
  • Must be results oriented, self-motivated, and work independently as well as efficiently within a team
  • Must possess strong project/time management skills, and ability optimally lead multiple tasks and time critical situations
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and responsibly in regard to project progress and timelines; able to gain consensus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and able to adapt to changing priorities, including timelines and project goals
  • Experience with a Learning Management System
