SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Manager is the communication focal point for optimizing daily material flow through the facility. This position will ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organizations inventory cycle, matching material flow to sales demands, inventory augmentation, maintenance parts inventory, and production scheduling in a synchronized manner and in service of Manufacturing/Service excellence.

Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inventory Management (70%): Accurately and proactively evaluate foundry and finishing stock plans to ensure inventory keeps up with customer demands and guarantee seamless operation. Manage accurate inventory, including cycle counting and working directly with Assistant Controller on Annual Physical Inventory. As the center of communication for the daily material flow in and outside of the organization, preemptively engage and provide feedback to all stakeholders as necessary. Develop and implement policies that increase inventory efficiencies throughout the production process while ensuring quality and safety.
  • Strategic Planning (30%): Proactively plan and strategically schedule forward to mitigate potential delays and guarantee customer satisfaction. Ensure a consistent flow of the day-to-day facility operation by boldly managing the material and output as well as forecasting potential breakdowns.

Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree: Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or other related field, preferred
  • ASCM (APICA) – Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), preferred
  • 4+ years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to juggle multiple stakeholder interests at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects and processes on time
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
  • Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to sway others’ opinions
  • Moderate computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Standing for long periods of time, walking throughout the facility
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working with a computer

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Exposed to elements, such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
