Assistant Inventory Control Specialist

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist

to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Clinics from Southampton to NYC. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for the management all NYCBS locations, including interaction with outside contractors concerning building construction, HVAC and any other related matters.
• Obtain documents/quotes/bids for building maintenance/construction. Evaluate proposals for specification compliance and make recommendation of award.
• Supervise maintenance contracts including: determining workload and delegating assignments. Review and/or inspect work of outside vendors for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Ensure compliance of all NYCBS locations with applicable federal, OSHA and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
• Develop appropriate safety and/or service plans to alleviate risk, provide protection, etc. for occupants of all NYCBS locations.
• Monitor and evaluate operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; make recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure that snow removal from the outside vendor is adequate at all NYCBS locations.
• Oversee the maintenance of the landscaping.
• Perform repairs in and outside of the all NYCBS locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

We require:

• At least 1 year of experience managing facilities.
• High School Diploma.
• Bi/Lingual, English/Spanish a plus.
• Proficiency in Word/Excel.
• Good communication skills.

Hours: Monday–Friday

Salary up to $25/hr.
