This position is scheduled to work Sunday-Tuesday 6pm-6am and Wednesday 6pm-12am. The hourly rate of pay is $21.40. This position is located at our Plant on Route 30 in Gettysburg.

The Kiln Attendant manually loads and unloads tile for the firing process. The Kiln Attendant also performs periodic quality checks of the fired tile

Major Functions and Scope:

• Loads greenware into the kilns per loading schedule.
• Unloads fired tile from setters into bins.
• Transport fired tile from kiln to staging area for shipping.
• Maintains kiln cars and makes minor adjustments as necessary.
• Performs quality checks on kiln as required.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Education and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent .

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year prior manufacturing experience.
• Prior experience working in a kiln environment preferred.
