Job Duties

ROTATING SHIFTS (1st/2nd, 2nd/3rd & 3rd/1st), AS NEEDED

We seek fresh graduates and experienced individuals as part-time Licensed Practical Nurse professionals to join our team on rotating shifts, with holiday and weekend schedules required. The LPN provides quality nursing care to psychiatric and geriatric patients based on standards of nursing practice and care within the scope of license. Performs skilled patient centered nursing care to individual and groups of patients with complex mental and physical illnesses under the general supervision of a registered nurse. Provides a variety of patient care such as administering medication and treatments, maintaining patient records, promoting health and wellness education, and communicating for continuity of patient care. Ability to communicate effectively to convey necessary information. Ability to observe gauges, dials or other indicator to make sure equipment is working properly.

Paid Shift Differential:
1st shift weekend $3.00/hr.
2nd shift weekdays $2.50/hr., and weekend/holidays $3.00/hr.
3rd shift weekdays $2.25/hr, and weekend/holidays $ 3.00/hr.

Minimum Qualifications

- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of self, other individuals, organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Ability to communicate effectively to convey necessary information.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Ability to watch gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Virginia prior to beginning role.
