Extruder Operator
Under direction, of the Plant Manager the employee extruder operator will perform functions and ensures efficiency & compliance of packaging. Operator should adhere to safety rules and be on the lookout for possible hazards and dangers of all processes. Production imperfections, holes, broken threads, and any other flaws should immediately be brought to the attention of manager. Ensure only high-quality production is produced. Maintain area clean and some maintenance is required. Other duties may apply.
Required Experience: 2 years of previous extruder operator.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in resolving technical problems independently with little to no supervision/ guidance.
- Assist and maintenance PM’s
- Proficient troubleshooting of equipment and production issue.
- Great understanding of machine mechanics, including knives, blades, rollers, webbing, winder, etc.
- Able to load and unload resin.
- Produce high and low density polyethylene film.
- Attain great skills and knowledge pertaining to resin blending and film properties
- Die maintenance/cleaning
- Familiar with downstream equipment.
- Complete and apply roll tags.
- Maintain budgeted scrap levels.
- Able to identify E-stops and safety sensitive areas.
- Must be capable of reading and using a ruler.
- Perform necessary machine power/startup, setup, changeovers, shift turnovers, and power down procedures with plant manager or assistance.
- Able to maintain and count inventory.
- Accurately complete Fist Check Sheet report Production.
- Complete production data entry consistently and accurately.
- Read and comprehend work order and work instructions.
- Ensure only high-quality production is produced.
- Assist in the setup of most difficult jobs.
- Level of the Operators, it is important for leads and supervisors to have a skill improvement and training plan to maximize the potential of each operator.

Monday-Friday. Saturday or Sunday may apply, depending on production. 3rd shift 11:00pm-7:30am
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
