Job Summary

The Parking Enforcement Specialist is responsible for enforcing Rensselaer’s Parking and Traffic Regulations via ticket enforcement and stationary post as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid NYS driver’s license

Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Clear and effective verbal and written skills
• Ability to read, write and perform simple arithmetic
• Available for flexible shift scheduling
• Ability to effectively deal with emergency situations
• Excellent customer relation skills
• Requires strict attention to detail
• Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions
• Ability to operate a personal computer and cellphone
