Essential Duties:· Actively engage as a member of an interdisciplinary team to partner with individuals to help them achieve their identified goals for life skills, job skills, and community integration.

· Provide positive behavior support by modeling positive behavior, good manners, appropriate dress, social interactions, and appropriate language.

· Ensure the safety and personal care needs of all individuals are being met, and activities are ongoing to meet everyone’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

· Oversee center staff and the HPC program to ensure the programs run smoothly and efficiently in compliance with all Goodwill of South Central Ohio policies and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) rules in effect.

· Promote Goodwill within the community to enhance its public image and to obtain support for the furtherance of our mission. Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards possible in relationships with internal and external associates.

· Maintain and grow the HPC program by establishing a rapport with:

o The boards of DD in the counties where Goodwill of South Central Ohio operates.

o Individuals served and their families/guardians and other service providers.

o HPC staff including volunteer HPC Coordinators.

· Interview and hire competent, dedicated direct service professionals (DSPs).Responsibilities:

· Work closely with the GSC Area Manager and Compliance Officer to complete compliance for the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD).

· Ensure all paperwork and documentation required by DODD, the local county DD board, and the Ohio department of Medicaid is being completed. This includes completion of all MUI and UI documentation and notifications within required time restraints.

· Review all MUI and UI reports in BID and submit them to the GSC Area Manager.

· Complete the annual and 3-year required documentation of MUI and UI logs.

· Maintain staff schedules based on acuity levels of individuals attending at the beginning of each workday and dependent on who is being sent for coverage in other locations.

· Administer all programming, service coordination, program involvement, and monthly activity schedules designed to foster independence, personal community, growth, integration, and social maturity. Ensure activities are targeting the skills and goals specified ISPs.

· Monitor department budget.

· Read ISPs for all individuals to be served to ensure all expectations and needs of the individuals are understood and a clear plan is established to meet the ISP.

· Attending all ISP and intake meetings.

· Complete all new-hire paperwork with new individuals starting in the center in coordination with the HR Assistant and/or HR Coordinator.

· Ensure efforts are made to implement all individuals’ choices and preferences to promote their rights and autonomy.

· Perform responsibilities (typically assigned to a DSP) as needed.

· Access community resources for needed support.

· Ensure the safe transport of individuals in a company vehicle to and from the Goodwill Services Center and on scheduled outings.

· Conduct community outreach to expand the HPC program in numbers of individuals served, revenue, and territory of operation.

· Routinely meet with individuals, families, DSPs, and the field supervisor(s), and conduct home visits quarterly to ensure quality of services being provided and individual satisfaction.

· Intervene and provide solutions to problems that may arise between staff or between individuals and their DSP. Administer disciplinary actions to insubordinate DSP’s when rules of conduct, confidentiality, and/or compliance are breached. These actions can range from warnings to dismissal.

· Uphold the compliance integrity of the services center and HPC programs in accordance with Goodwill’s policies and DODD’s rules in effect. This includes ensuring all program staff remain compliant with:

o Training needs.

o EVV integrity and resolution decisions.

o BID compliance and documentation.

· Schedule training as needed and keep up with changes to the rules in effect from DODD.

· Pursue personal development in all areas of responsibility, sharing knowledge and skills with others.

· Conduct performance and wage reviews in a timely fashion.

· Review Paycom time records, make corrections as needed, and approve in a timely fashion for all DSPs and individuals. Evaluate and decide for all requests for time off by center staff in a timely fashion.

· Work with the Missions Coordinator to manage the budget for HPC/GSC:

o Expenses

o Payroll (including overtime allowances)

o Consult projected billing and income provided by the Billing Clerk

· Complete the DODD 8-hour provider training annually and any other required training.

· Maintain confidentiality.

· Follow all Goodwill of South Central Ohio policies and procedures.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Ability to work with all types of people, including those with disabilities. Must be able to follow instructions, have good attendance, and deal with stressful situations.

· Ability to communicate clearly and accurately by phone, in writing, and in person.

· Demonstrated proficiency with computers and software programs, such as Excel, Word, and cloud-based software. Proficiency or ability to quickly learn additional software, such as Paycom and BID.

· Must attain all required Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities certifications.

· Good organization and time-management skills.

· Pleasant personality and neat appearance.

· Will be subject to the company’s random drug testing procedures, for cause, and after accidents.

· Must pass a Goodwill-approved criminal background check and not appear on any government registries that track abusers or other such offenses.

· Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.

· A self-starter who can work independently and as a team player.

Education and/or Experience:

· High school diploma or GED

· Degree in social services preferred

· Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities required

· Prior supervisory experience required

· At least two years full-time employment in the field of Homemaker Personal Care or Home Health Services at a management level.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to reach above head, bend from waist, and lift up-to 50 pounds. Accommodation will be provided if the person makes use of a wheelchair or other mobility device.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

· Current state drivers’ license, proof of current auto insurance coverage, and reliable transportation required. Ability to maintain coverage under company insurance policy for liability, bondability and other required coverages.

· Medication Administration (can complete on the job)

· Provider Certification (can complete on the job)
