Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, the Metal Polisher will, within customer specifications, give the part maximum efficiency and quality by performing the following activities.

Responsibilities:

• Polish / Belt and Blend per drawing specifications, customer specifications, and manufacturing specifications
• Adhere to the customers’ part specifications
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Comply with state and federal law safety regulations in addition to safety and security procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and state and federal laws and regulations relating to employment, including promoting a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.
• The polisher will perform detailed work that requires repetitive use of the hands.
• Other related duties as assigned

Pay & Shift:

• 10:30pm – 7:00am

Starting pay is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience**

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be capable of operating equipment necessary to perform daily tasks.
• Must be able to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication.
• Must be a U.S. citizen over 18 years of age or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
• Under normal business conditions, must be able to work 50 hours per week, however, the schedule will be adjusted according to business and operational needs.
• Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
• Must be able to wear (fit) a respirator properly while working.
• Must be punctual and reliable

Physical Demands:

Work in a standing, sitting, or bent position for 8-10 hours each day.

Be willing and able to lift a maximum of 35 pounds with control and unassisted; raise arms above shoulders and maintain dexterity for extended periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop or kneel for excessive periods of time; wear a respirator while working; perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation; wear personal protective equipment.
