Produce/Floral Clerk

Primary Objective

Responsible for demonstrating a love of food and passion for people that includes incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through department knowledge and technical expertise. As a Produce/Floral member, the Produce/Floral Clerk promotes and delivers a shopping experience focused on providing customers the level of service to which we have publicly committed by providing efficient service through hands-on knowledge of Produce/Floral products. The Produce/Floral Clerk adheres to organizational procedures, policies and systems including food quality standards and food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Produce/Floral Clerk is focused on driving sales through suggestive selling, sampling and promoting sales events.

3. Performance Focus – Assists financial results in Sales and Supplies and Shrink Management.

• Accomplished SELLING skills results in additional Communicates code dating issues

Sales Communicates Shrink opportunities

• Suggestive SELLS and Samples short-coded Monitors product quality to reduce Shrink product Utilizes appropriate supplies to reduce costs

4. Planning Focus –

• Plans SELLING product for each scheduled shift Identifies department opportunities during

Use of knives, pallet jack, fork lift, box cutter, floral chopper, scales, wrapper, compactor, flatbed, carts, pricing gun, marker, mop, cleaning utensils, coring machine, plastic wrapper, ladders, telephone, calculator, scissors,

• Physical Skills – Occasional – lifting/carrying , more than 52 lbs., pushing/pulling 150 to 500 lbs.
• Education or Experience – Minimum High school education or currently enrolled
• Environmental – Exposure to colder temperatures (35 to 40 degrees), occasionally work outdoors
