About the Position

We are hiring for Quality Assurance Specialists! As a member of the CFEEC QA team, you'll bring robust qualifications and a strong desire to contribute your knowledge and expertise to a meaningful program. The Department is composed of small teams of QA Nurse Specialists, each led by a supportive Supervisor. Specialists are on the front line of ensuring consistent and accurate assessment results by reviewing assessments and communicating with Nurse Assessors. Education and Experience Requirements:

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct standardized review/audit of Community Health Assessments (CHA) that are conducted by the Nurse Assessors.
• Review findings/audit and provide feedback in a collaborative manner to promote quality improvement of the CHA process
• Collect data related to assessments and assessment outcomes
• Examine cases at random for completeness, accuracy and consistency
• Examines data for outliers and researches such cases
• Conducting ad hoc reviews of submissions by Health Plans and the Local Department of Social Services that are clinical in nature
• Analyze UAS recommended scores in relation to Nurse Assessor determinations
• Attend Fair Hearing cases and prepare case packets, as required. This may require travel if the Fair Hearings are resumed in person
• Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by Management

Minimum Requirements:

• RN license in the state of New York
• 2+ years RN experience in-home care, medical, surgical, geriatric, LTC and/or ambulatory care
• Prior experience using the UAS-NY Community assessment tool, OASIS or MDS
• Strong technological skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Detail and solution oriented
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Ability to use spreadsheet or database software
• Preferred 2+ years previous work experience in Quality and Risk Management in a hospital setting conducting peer reviews

• Reliable high-speed internet service

  • Minimum 5 Mpbs upload speeds
